Our History: Serving Northeastern Ohio for More Than 40 Years
Robert (Bob) Richens, President, always had in interest in how things worked, even as a young child. Later, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as an electronics technician, which only fueled his passion for working to create optimal solutions for mission-driven needs. After working as a mechanical engineer, supervising research, design, and assembly processes for several years, he decided to pursue his dream of owning and running his own technical business. In 1976, he took over Ohio Technicraft as a steppingstone to getting back to hands-on engineering and design. Initially, Ohio Technicraft focused on the repair of commercial and consumer electronic equipment, but as Ohio Technicraft’s reputation grew under Bob’s leadership, its focus and name evolved to keep pace with changing technology, giving rise to the name TELE CARE. TELE CARE, a division of Ohio Technicraft, Inc. grew and positioned itself to accommodate the changing needs of customers, including business telecom, commercial Audio/Visual (AAV) and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) work, commercial video ad-insertion, industrial computer repair, custom A/V design, voice / data cabling, security and fire alarm systems, and special projects.
As technologies continue to evolve, TELE CARE has advanced into specializing in turnkey systems including voice and data networking, security, and service solutions customized for client needs. TELE CARE has provided a large variety of custom systems for industries such as education, law enforcement, healthcare, realty, small and medium-sized offices, and more.
